iPhone beta is not ready yet.

The current CAST v61 beta is Android only. iPhones can download APK files, but iOS cannot install or open Android apps.

Do not download the APK on iPhone.

If you are testing on iPhone, wait for the TestFlight or App Store build.

If you have an Android phone, open the Android beta page from that phone instead.

What iPhone testers should do

This prevents Safari from saving blank APK files that cannot install on iOS.

  1. Do not open the APK file.It is an Android installer, not an iPhone app.
  2. Delete any downloaded CAST APK files.They will look blank or useless in the iPhone Files app because iOS cannot run them.
  3. Use an Android phone for this beta.The current CAST build is made for Android local Gemma testing.
  4. Wait for the iPhone lane.iOS needs a TestFlight or App Store build before normal installation.
